Kagame Reinstates Loyalist Gatabazi, Appoints Kayitesi To Govern Southern Province

By Elite News Reporter Rwandan President Paul Kagame has reinstated  his blue-eyed boy Jean Marie Vianney Gatabazi as the Governor Northern Province, and appointed iron-lady Alice Kayitesi as the Governor Southern Province. The  appointments were communicated in a Communique by the Office of the Prime Minister, issued July 7th,2020, which reads in part thus; Communique from Prime Minister's office about Jean Marie Gatabazi and Alice Kaboyo's appointment “Pursuant to the Law n14/2013 of 25/03/2013 determining the organisation and functioning of the Province especially in its article 9; His Excellency the President has reinstated Mr. Jean Marie Vianney Gatabazi as Governor of Northern Province; and appointed Ms. Alice Kayitesi as Governor of the Southern Province.

By Elite News Reporter Over 180 bodies of men believed to have been massacred were Tuesday found in common graves in Djibo, a town in the north of Burkina Faso, Human Rights Watch (HRW), said in a report released on Wednesday, saying that the killings were probably carried out by government forces. "Available evidence suggests government forces were involved in mass extrajudicial executions," HRW said. It called for the government to hold those responsible to account. The Burkina Faso government told HRW it would investigate the claims. Minister of Defence Moumina Cherif Sy said the killings could have been committed by armed groups using stolen army uniforms and logistical equipment. According to videos have since gone viral on social media, four LDU militia were recorded slapping, pushing, flogging and shoving Luzige, as he tried to plead with them, telling them not to mistreat Ugandans.
